Working with children has been a passion of mine since I was 14 years old. As the oldest of three sisters and 15 cousins, I naturally stepped into a caretaker role early on, and it shaped my love for guiding and supporting young children. My journey began at a co-op preschool in San Francisco, where I saw firsthand the benefits of families being active, vital participants in their child’s education.
I first joined Millbrae Nursery School in 2009, helping during the summer. That experience led to co-teaching with Teacher Norma in the 2-year-old class. In 2019, I moved into the 3-year-old classroom, and by 2022 I was teaching both the 3’s and Pre-K. Over the years, I have loved seeing children light up with excitement as they learn, and just as importantly, I’ve treasured the relationships built with families who grow and learn alongside their children.
In 2023, I stepped into the role of Director. It has been an exciting new chapter—supporting not only our amazing teachers and staff, but also ensuring that families feel connected, supported, and empowered in their child’s educational journey. Millbrae Nursery is truly a special community, and I am honored to help carry forward its traditions while continuing to nurture a space where children and families thrive together.
